Follow these simple steps to take of your flowers at home:
It is best to use a glass vase, which was washed in chlorinated solution or bleach. Glass allows to have a better clean of the surface, which reduces bacteria growth in the water.
Re-cut the stems and remove all the bottom leaves from the branches. The leaves in the water will make it spoil faster.
Position your arrangement away from direct sunlight and away from ripening fruits. Fruits release gas ethylene when ripening.
Change water at least every second day to extend the vase life of the flowers.
Use flower food if available.
